Weekly News
A big Thank You to all of you for attending the parent teacher conferences. Our communication is one of the best gifts we can give your children.
Parent Reminders
Movie Day: For Friday, May 25, it is Teagan and Lana's turn to bring in a movie.
Summer is coming and so is the heat. Please begin bringing water bottles in that have a strap for around your child's neck. We need this so they do not have to hold their bottles on the weekly field trips in the summer.
Things to put on your calendar
Monday, May 28 No School-Memorial Day
Wednesday, June 6 End of the Year Concert
This Week, May 14-18:
"Animal Habitats and the Rainforest"
We learned about many different animals and where they lived. We had a wonderful time on our field trip to Kohl Children's Museum. The Animal Habitat class was very informative and fun. We focused on how birds make nests and how different kinds of birds use different materials to make their nests, depending on where they live.
Next Week, May 20-24:
"U.S. National Parks and Forest Animals"
We will learn about local forests, Yellowstone National Park and Yosemite National Park. We will study the geography and wildlife in these different forests.

Things You Need To Know
Things You Need To Know
- Breakfast is served at 8:30-8:50. If you want your child to have breakfast, you need to be here no later than 8:45.
- Show and Share is on Thursdays only. You may have your child bring in anything important to them that they want to share. It is not based on the theme of the week. Please limit home toys to only Thursdays.
- Movie day is on Fridays. I will assign 2 children per week for bringing in movies. Please check the newsletter to find out when your child's movie day is.
- Please make sure to keep your child's clothes bin stocked with an extra set of weather appropriate clothes.
- Please check folder every day for any of your child's art and other important information.
- Please have your child wear gym shoes because we are involved in physical activity everyday.
- We are always collecting Box Tops and Campbells soup labels.
- We are always collecting donated items for our Heartland family, Monique and her two children.
- Homework: Please take some time with your child each weekend to work on the packet of work sent home. This homework is not designed to make the children have to fill it out correctly or even finish it, it is created for the principle of taking time to sit down at home and review what has been taught during the week. Have fun with it. This is an opportunity for you to spend time with your child and see what they have been learning. It can be brought back anytime. Every time a child bring homework in, I will simply put a sticker on it and send it home in their folders.
